About Paul Hogan

I am an experienced Massage Therapist & Yoga teacher and a firm believer in taking a holistic and intuitive approach to healing.

In most cases, by working with and “listening” to the myofascial tissue, I can identify long-standing holding patterns and follow the paths needed to relieve the physical stresses that are present through soft tissue manipulation.

With a variety of modalities to access during a session including Relaxation, Craniosacral, Myofascial, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Structural Balance, and Thai massage; I can tailor a session as individual as you are to address your specific needs. I always attempt to weave relaxation elements into any of the deeper tissue sessions in therapy work for a more “whole being” experience.

The things I can help you with are:

  • Restoring shoulder function
  • Alleviating back pain
  • Reducing headaches
  • Improving athletic performance
  • Supporting trauma release

I decided to go into massage because I was inspired to practice massage therapy as a more individual expression of my desire to assist beings in finding ease in their physical and subtle (energetic) bodies through the release of myofascial restrictions and emotional trauma that has become “stored” in the body’s soft tissue systems.  Teaching Yoga allows me to do this in a larger, more group-oriented way and I was seeking a modality that allowed me to be more direct with the healing touch process. Massage Therapy is a perfect fit for me in this aspect as it allows me to bring a mindful practice into a healing modality.

I have studied Trauma-informed work with the teachings of Tias Little and Peter Levine and will bring these teachings into play for a more relaxing and informed experience. Through this practice, I strive to assist clients in releasing soft tissue holding patterns and promote well-being and spaciousness in order to reduce emotional and mental stress, assisting to keep the mind, body, and spirit healthy.

The things I do for fun: I love being in and exploring nature immensely. Camping, hiking, kayaking, hot spring hunting (and soaking), and forest bathing are a few of my favorite of these activities! I also love teaching and performing partner acrobatics!
